What you need to know..
Absolutely! We’re pretty flexible like that!
Unfortunately we can’t secure work for you as we are not an employment agency, nor your employer. All participants will need to be responsible for securing their own work during the trip (remote or otherwise). coWork the World is not a job provider.
Here are some tips on how you could go about securing work:
- Start by having a chat with your current employer. You never know, they may be totally cool with the idea of you not being around the office for a while.
- Jump onto freelance websites like fiverr, elance, 99designs and upWork and secure work.
- Ask around - your social networks are a powerful way to get help. Share our website and tag us @coworktheworld to spread the word.
- Crowdfund your way through. If your campaign is a success you might be covered with cash allowing you to work on creative / entrepreneurial projects while travelling the world.
We only ask for the one time low security deposit for each LEG you’d like to join, which covers our admin costs also. Thereafter, you’ll be welcomed into the program with open arms ready to plan, travel and coWork the World!
Nope you don’t have to commit to the whole world tour! At the very least, we do ask that you commit to at least 1 leg.
There are 7 legs in the world tour, which include:
- EUROPE
- EASTERN EUROPE
- NORTH AMERICA
- SOUTH AMERICA
- SOUTH AFRICA
- INDIA & ASIA
- AUSTRALIA & NZ

We’ve got some pretty basic criteria:
- You are an adult and can look after yourself.
- You’re an overall decent guy/gal (a police/criminal check may be requested).
- You actually have work to do. Although this is a working holiday its not a perma-vacation so we do expect coWorkers to have some sort of work to do. But don’t worry, we don’t expect you to be a work-a-holic either! From working on your start up idea to finally getting the time to write your book, coWork the World is for people just like you.
- You agree to our terms & conditions and travel rules.
- Most importantly.. you love travel.
