“Travel is rebellion in its purest form. We follow our heart. We free ourselves of labels. We lose control willingly. We trade a role for reality. We love the unfamiliar. We trust strangers. We own only what we can carry. We search for better questions, not answers. We truly graduate. We, sometimes, choose never to come back” – Anonymous
Hey everyone.. my name is Nader and WELCOME to coworktheworld.com! coWork the World started out purely as a social experiment. I woke up one morning and realised I had enough of the status quo. After signing up to a hefty office expense, I realised that not only do I hardly ever use the office, but I’m actually WAYYYY more productive when I’m remote working or coworking out and about.
So back in September 2015, I decided to take a little trip around UK and Europe during the Rugby world cup. I took a suitcase, my laptop, my camera + tripod and a few other bits and pieces and off I went on a short social experiment/holiday. It was an amazing time traveling through Europe, sparking and igniting LOADS of creativity, meeting like minded people, making new friends, forward thinking about how I can better run my company back home.. and just getting HEAPS of SH*T done! I only visited a few coworking spaces on that trip and mostly that was just for half a day or a day or so. But still, it gave me a good feel of the coworking experience.
I blasted the experience on social media as my only form of creative expression.. my outlet. The whole experience got loads of support and love from the coworking community and believe me.. I had no idea that was going to happen! So I decided to invite other like minded people on the journey and created a 7 leg trip out of it covering 6 continents. You can go here to express your interest in coming along to a tour. More info about tours can be found on the Remote Tours page.
So that brings me to coworktheworld.com 2.0.. or at least what I like to call coworktheworld.com 2.0. The new website is WAYYY more in line with what I feel coWork the World should be, and that is..
coworktheworld.com is a reliable and easy place people can come for loads of content about coworking spaces from around the world. Including; coworking write ups, coworking travel tours, link ups with other like minded people in our community and heaps of other epic stuff relating to our fast growing coworking and remote working culture.
I’m really excited about what the future has in store in terms of how we choose to work. So far, I’ve managed to visit 20 coworking spaces across 3 continents, but that’s hardly much compared to the projected 10,000 coworking spaces coming up by end of 2016! So that’s why the content on this site is not just open to me. You can join our growing community at any stage and if you want to have a coworking space featured on the site, you can contribute your coworking experience in the form of a detailed write up by going here.
Outside of coworktheworld.com I’m the Founder & CEO of FURM® Group, as well as the Founder of FURM® Academy, a knowledge sharing digital learning hub. For more details about my projects, ventures and random acts of kindness stalk me on my details below..
You’ve come all this way.. let’s connect..
A bit about me.. I was born in New Delhi, India and moved to west coast USA when I was 2 years old. At 5, my family migrated to New Zealand where I was brought up. After graduating, I moved to Melbourne and lived/worked there for 5 years. In recent years, I’ve spent the majority of my time either between Australia and New Zealand, or travelling around with my laptop and suitcase.
I ♥ to travel, cowork and capture some of the hottest coworking spaces along the way. If you ♥ coworking as much as I do, then I hope to offer something of value to you through this site. Thanks for stopping by! :-)
